As I am a student I am supposed to get a work placement for each year that will last for two weeks. During this period I am supposed to learn some skills that might be useful to me when I finish my school. Such placement might also be a valuable addition to the resume that will be presented to your future employer. It is one of the most important aspects of studying as it presents many possibilities of learning. Sometimes such knowledge gained during placement might be more valuable than information learned at classes. You have to be lucky to find a good company for this. It has to match the discipline you are studying. As I am studying transport I decided to go to driving school in order to learn something new. I was a bit disappointed during my first week as all I did was make coffee for my boss and sit around doing nothing. The situation changed next week. I was responsible for theory test booking. Maybe it wasn´t what I was thinking about but to my surprise I learned a lot during this period. I think that it might be useful for me in the future. I never knew how complicated theory test booking might be. I will definitely remember what I have learned there. If you have a chance to take a work placement my advice is to do it.
